    Different boats for different places....

So.....I'm always looking for places to run my boats. Unfortunately there's not many places you can stretch a 95mph boats legs and be fairly calm.....at least not around here. I've been fortunate enough to have a large calm lake right by me, but sometimes you wanna run somewhere else....so I'm always looking....any of you guys do that? Then I'll see a place and think "man that's a nice place, just not big enough for what I have". So now I'm having to expand my boat collection to stuff that's not just fast in a straight line....yea...this stuff is addicting! Any of you guys find yourself in the same position?

I know what you mean. Unfortunately you ruined yourself by going so fast so soon in your fe career. Anything below 70 is gonna bore the crap outta you.

How did that pickle come out?
A quick little hydro can be exciting

Maaaan....I know, I guess I should have worked my way up slower. 70mph is now slow to me. I feel like I can tie my shoe as my boat is moving in slow motion across the lake at 70 ish ....I might be almost exaggerating, but you get my drift lol.

The vac u pickle, I have to paint it and the esc just came in yesterday. Otherwise, it's done. I'll update the thread soon.....it's for my son but I did get this sent to me yesterday. .....

I really don't even know what it is. Has no motor mount or any way to mount batteries. It's about 15"-17" long

Ummmmm yes, I'm going to drive all the way from Louisiana to California to run my rc boat. Not going to happen any time soon. Lol

                    Back on topic.....
I just wanted to know how many people look around at different bodies of water and think about what boat they could run in it. I catch myself always looking around........ I'll even break out my phone when I'm riding with someone and do an area sweep lol.

Btw, that does look like a nice lake to run at. I don't have anything that big and that calm around me....wish I did tho!

Yeah I always look at lakes and think that.
It's just fun to run new spots.

Now that you've hit 90 with a cat, why not try it with a mono or something?

I'm probably going to rent a motorhome for the road trip and party shack..uh uh I meant sleeping qtrs... :) DJ

Are you in my head? Lol.....I've been looking around for a mono. I was actually looking at getting a revolt or a carbon pursuit. Not saying I'll hit 90, but I just want to go fast. I have to finish what I started with my rivercat. Having motor issues set me back a couple weeks. My custom rotor was made Friday and should be on the way to me. This weekend I'll see where I'm at, hoping for a little higher than I was. I'm not counting on it, but I've got my fingers crossed. Then once I do hit my goal, I have some other boats to tinker with (after my builds get done for my customers)

It's enjoyable to me, yes. My life, no. Do I live, eat, sleep rc boats? No, I dont. I could see if that's all your into, then yea. But to the degree I'm into it, it's not that important for me to travel that far to run my boat.

I know it's more to it than that, the meeting people, hanging out and having a good time is part of it too. ........ but at this point in my life I don't have to time to do it. I have three young kids and a wife, and we live very busy lives and work full time jobs, and just don't have the time to commit to it. I really wish I could come down there and hang out with you guys.....the ones that seem to have a little "issue" with me and what I'm doing would change their perception of me......
