    VS1 FE Conversion plans

Does anyone know if anyone has ever posted any plans, templates, or instruction for constructing the box and doing the FE conversion for the VS1? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a build thread on another forum if that's cool, there are different ways to do it, I left the front box intact, cut the bottom and foam out and added sides to join to the back, but you can replace the front box as well it gives you a little more room to adjust the batteries.

I left the front box, cut out the centre section to the 1/8 plywood motor mount sides and removed the foam, then built up the sides to meet the existing 1/8 ply at the back, used 1/16 to make to the box sides. basically a straight 2 compartment box all the way to the back of the boat utilizing as much of the existing structure for the motor mount area.
All the radio gear mounted up front, using a pull pull arrangement for steering, esc goes on a ledge I glued in right at the back, have whole centre section to move the battery back and forth. I run a 4s 5000mah pack and an Aquacraft UL-1 2030kv motor on a highly modified K&B leg. Had to use a servo extension for the esc to rx connection.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

That's an awesome build, I saw that string before and it got me wanting to do this. I don't suppose you still have the templates do you?

Actually I just found them and I have my buddy's template as well, he replaced the whole front box on his. So I guess I could trace them and mail them to you? Not sure if a scanner would keep them the right size? Or a fax?
Mine isn't perfect but I have the templates for all the little bits too.

Yes! That's awesome, exactly what I'm looking for. I'll gladly PP you some $ if you can send me the template tracings and maybe the specs on the materials you used.

                              Nice conversion there.
