AC/DC Power supply

I am looking to purchase a power supply as I am soon going to buy another charger. I am looking at the one OSE sells here

I am wondering if this one would work for 2 chargers and not by the amps and volts but physically. Would I need to make a harness for the bannana plugs to wire 2 chargers in series or do they come with something like that? Thanks

18 amps should handle two chargers no problem. as you said you just need to make a harness for two. I believe parallel is the way to hook up though not in series, for the chargers to work properly.

Hey, since I have been buying more boat parts I havent been able to order a power supply. With the end of my season nearing I just wonder if a car jumper pack would work for power supply. If I take the clamps and clamp them to a large wooden dowel and hook my charger up to that there would not be any chance of them touching but would that power supply work?

Yes - it is what I have been using. Just be sure that it has a full charge before you start.

Find an old PC power supply (at LEAST 400W) and then you can follow one of the many guides to convert it to work without a motherboard attached. A 400w power supply usually has at least a 16 amp rating on the 12v lead.

It is very easy to convert one. All that is needed is a little time, basic soldering skills, and a drill.

I allready have a jumper pack in my car... and who pays 93.00 for one??? I can get em all day for under 40!

I bought a converted pc power supply that kicks out 20 amps paid 60$
I have also bought 2 pc power supplies to convert and spent 2 weeks attempting. I have read every thread at r/r and the several other including Murry state. I did raise the voltage some but not enough to run more than one charger at low amp. If anyone has done it I would love to talk to them and finish the 2 p/s I have cuz at this point they are in a box in the garage...
U decifered the murry state post and thought it would work it didnt ?????

If you are running a duo you will need a better power supply than a converted one if you plan on chargeing at any serious amp rate...

P/S are avail on ebay for about 60$ shipped 13 volts 20 amps....

FWIW, my DUO chargers pull right around 24 amps when charging two 5S - 6,000 packs. Closer to 20 when I do my 5,000 mAh packs.

try to stay away from the PSs that make "dirty power" this would be any type of 12v battery charger combo. If you can go with a PS that makes cc/cv
