Retailers/wholesalers are at the mercy of their suppliers/manufacturers. AND they WILL string them along with faster delivery dates just to prevent them from going elsewhere, even though
their die's at the plant are set up to churn out a different product. *MY* gut feeling, and 2 cents, Brian is a stand up guy. No dishonest merchant picks up their phone, and posts to a thread
openly if they have something to hide. Many years ago Steven here at OSE took my phone call in the evening, and after listening to me whine that it was my birthday, agreed to forgo shipping
charges. This, and you the members keep me here.

Gathering parts for a KBB 45" build this winter, what is it about these collets that makes you all like them so much? Springing for Lehners and other nice equipment for the first time, so I'm looking at my options, want to do the build with nice hardware....Thanks for any input.

Kevin, I had been having probs with collets coming loose/spinning on the flexshaft etc... with these clutch collets from MBP I have not had one come loose ever. Plus they are very nicely made and balanced...nice boat your building bud, you wont be disappointed using these collets... DJ

Thanks. never had one come loose on the shaft, red locktite and a small flat spot has held up for me so far, but these do look nice.

How do you get shafts off to grease with red loctite?

I think he meant the motor shaft end??
I have always trusted the Octura and that is until I had one let go of the cable. Still don't know why, but the replacement Octura was DOA, so I used one and now I must say that these are the best!
My concern was that I have a flat spot on the motor shaft and after members here have adviced me how to mount it, I am quite comfortable with it. There is a specific way to mount on a motor with a flat spot, check out the web site and the illustration though.

I meant in the set screw, my mistake, when I read it quick I thought he said he had a problem coming loose from the shaft. As I saw that these mount differently on the shaft.

I see now he said flexshaft.

Update: I am still waiting for my order from rocketcity, But I had a good communication with Brian and he is making it all good and hooking me up for being patient. If this is how he takes care of his customers when there is a problem, then I will continue to do business with him for my MBP needs...tks Brian... DJ

I talked to Brian yesterday, great guy and excellent customer service. I had trouble on the website and sent a message to him. The email reply was under 5 minutes. A quick phone call got everything sorted nicely. With luck the Germany order will arrive soon!! Great communication!

I've been trying to place an order with them too. No Western Australia option on the shipping address choices. Hoping they can get that sorted! Sent an email too.
