    rigging running gear

I just ran across some old plastic boats I had as a kid. One,an old Eldon 16 inch hydroplane. missbardahl U-40 to be exact.it had 2 D batteries an your basic electric motor as was the norm in the mid 60's for over the counter toys. What I was wondering,Id like to re rig it to be a R/C electric. Are there any companies ot there that sell ,a package containing ,speed control, motor, prop equipt .I did see a few things on ebay ,which were part outs ,I realize room is critical, but, all ideas are welcome, thanks

I would be interested in seeing a picture. It sounds like you might have a collectors item in your hands. I don't think I would start hacking it up.

    Later,

Sorry guys.Forgot to mention, these toys have been WELL used,so to say ,there is no longer any running gear.Ben sunk in saltwater more times I can recall. So no motor, battery clips long rusted.Anyway, there is one on ebay right now .These little hydros in good shape fetch a good buck.I just would like to tinker,BEING RETIRED,and see if I can get it running, perhaps resurrect some old times.Might even find this to be the new "HOT SETUP". Thanks Mike. From Mike
