Yea I think your right. I don't have room anyway. I am going to mill it some more to have more than 6mm of travel.

Got a couple of goodies. I really liked the aeromarine stuffing tube seal so I put one. Then I picked up a new swordfish 240 pro plus2 esc. I'm gonna run the thing tomorrow with just the strut change. Then I'll put the esc in. One thing at a time...never know, the esc could be slower. Will find out!

Went out and ran it today. I didn't make any adjustments tho. I had some issues. Wind was blowing. Water was real rough. I could not get over 85 without it going airborne. I now have the prop more in line with the sponsons. I had a touch of positive angle on it....it didn't like it. Messed up my prop. No idea what I hit. The edges are all wrinkled. I fixed it tho. Then I think an issue that wasn't helping was a new rudder setup I was using. It's a smaller rudder and had a good bit of slack. I knew better but ran it anyway. I usually make a new pin for them to get rid of the slack and I didn't this time. I ended up doing it this evening tho. I cycled this strut up and down....I've never tried it since it's been on the boat...It works perfect. The steering is just fine. Does not throw my prop angle off or change my rudder adjustment. I also made my highest mph 6s pass today...even tho I could not get on it hard. I ended up stripping the flex cable on 7s. Maybe tomorrow I'll have better luck.

Damn. I wish I still had this strut. It was a masterpiece. That boat sank with it on it. I'm going through some old threads of mine and came across this thread and it kinda bummed me out. I guess if underwater drones become affordable enough I may be able to recover it one day.

I wish I could make another one, I just don't see having the time to do it anytime soon.
