How hard would it be to put your SF ESC in you so you could check the logs for current, etc?

Mark, tks I knew that I wasnt totally lost in my turn the timing down statement, that I had been told or read about running 0-5 on any Neu motor D or Y wind if you were running larger worked props on heat racing setups... I do see turning up the timing some for an attempt at a "SAW" record since those only involve short runs...

Fwiw...with my 1800kv 1518 y wind castle I saw about .2mph turning the timing from low to 15 in my setup. My timing is at 0 right now, but I am running a neu d wind motor.

Travis if you keep your runs to a couple of passes you can get away with quite a bit. I ran a 15271d on 6s and a 5018 prop for 2 passes 102 mph average using a SK 180. I don't think it would have made a third pass but goes to show how hard we can push things sometimes.

I wouldn't agree with those numbers but what do I know.

You don't have to a agree, but they're pretty much spot on. It's been covered hundreds of times here on OSE. At least once a week motor timing comes up.
