I thought the Y547 is more aggressive albeit only a 2 blade. man, where have I been all this time!

Too much prop for Summer running! We often have to run smaller props in Texas' Summer heat, larger props in Winter. A motor which starts out 30 degrees hotter in Summer will usually come in 30 degrees hotter. A Neu is not a Leopard and will often pull more amps in the same aggressive setup; different cell quality matters too. What timing was used?

I just used a non-locking nut to secure the prop for these pictures.

the 547 has 2.849" of pitch and the 447 has 2.590 but it does have another blade which will add some load

            15*,
I think I learned a valuable lesson today!
Thanks for pointing out that a Neu will pull more amp in this set up than a Leopard, that is something I had neglected to consider!

I see, I looked at the dia. and pitch as my guidelines. I honestly thought the addition of one blade would not have added that much load.
              Thx !

The prop looks well done,, did you do it ? The only thing it, it's going to eventually blow a blade off,, with the heavy barr cuts , you also have some added tip cup in there,, I would concider putting a water pickup threw the hull in the bottom of the right sponson turnfin side,, pretty old school but reliable

I bought the prop used here from someone. I see the tip cup.
Thanks for the suggestion on the location of the water pickup.

OK I don't see any engraving on there ? looks like my finish,, but I don't barr cut like that, that prop also has added pitch on the trailing edge,, I would try a smaller prop as suggested by Jay thanks Chris

15 degrees is fine for that motor
