What is the better hull and what is the difference looking for a sport hull for running in a little chop.
Thanks for any input.

The hull bottoms are the same I believe. The Pirate has more freeboard which could be useful if putting batteries on the side of the rails. I have a 35" and I can only fit 3s packs on the sides.

Does the DF35 have a ride pad on the bottom? The Pirate doesn't.

Aha, at last, there is the difference. That would be a bit better in the chop. The 35" likes to teeter on that pad.
