    OSE Xpower 100Amp Speed Controller

Hi, I was looking at one of the Xpower BRUSHLESS SPEEDCONTROLLERS to power an Aqua craft super vee brushless motor. It is going into a Hydro and Marine Viper Hydro to replace my old 700 Graupner Speed Brushed motor that I was running on 12 cells (LSH Class).
Has anybody used one ? Are they easy to program ? Do they work with SPEKTRUM DSM Radios.
Ay help would be great Thanks Shane.

      XPower ESC from Offshore Electrics

Mine seems to work very well - I programmed it with the prog-box available here as well - I have lipo's and the cut-off worked flawlessly at 3.2 volts per cell. Water cooling works well as it's hardly warm after use. Of course every boat is different so I am just saying I have had no problems - Steve

I am using a pair of these in my twin Jolly with Ammo 2300 motors on 4S lipos.
They work fine and are easy to program using the Program Box.
These motors are pulling 50 - 60 amps each but the ESCs are only warm.
        Graham.

Thanks for the info guys. I have lots of race boats I use on a regular basis with Castle Hydra 120 and 240 controllers but was just looking for a cheap play boat for my daughter when she is old enough ( dad will play with it for a good while first) and was just going to go with a cheap but reliable set up.
I will run 4s lipo with the aqucraft motor and just was not sure how may amps it pulled with the stock prop ( Octura X440/3) or a modified prop such as an Octura M645 as some of the daredevils have been running.

Anybody know if the Xpower 100 really does automatically detect the number of cells? I have the USB programmer and software (not the box) and have set my low voltage cutoff, but was not convinced it recognizes the number of cells automatically.

I run either 2 or 3S in the same boat and would like to know if I need to reprogram it. The software doesn't have an automatic detect option...

              Thanks
