    Whip hydroplane question

I found some drawings in PFD format and was drawing them in Autocad and noticed the sponson on the left is different from the on on the right, is it for turning purposes? or should the be identical?

you found drawings???? really??? You might want to let the Blazer's know where you found those immediately. I would consider them proprietary!!!! Those guys have YEARS into tuning that design.

As for your question. Yes, the left sponson has more dihedral than the right. In the turns, the boat yaws, and I believe this extra angle was intended to help glide over the water as it is yawing.

Shooter, Blazer Marine used to sell the plans as well as the kits, so they are out there.
