    I need a new esc !!!!

I Have a JAE 21 Fe -- leopard 3674 2200kv motor, 4s 5000mah venom 50c with deans plug, castle Bec, Started with castle Hydra 120 (fried now) Prop is 1450m from zippkits for this boat. Zippkits recommendations for the build was 2000-2200 kv motor ,60amp + esc and 4500 -5000 mah battery. So im thinking that a 120 amp is that much better but still fried it. I sent it to castle to see if they could repair it . Got a call from them friday and they told me that i shouldnt be running deans plugs cause they are only rated at 70 amps, also told me that with my setup i should be running a 240 amp esc ( not sure if this is true ) but they continued to tell me that my battery wasnt big enough and that i should have an 8000- 10000 mah battery to run for this setup. I think they are full of Crap but im new to fe boats . So if anyone can tell me what size and what brand to try now i would be greatful!!!! So i HAVE realized why CASTLE no longer makes marine escs sounded to me like they dont know what the heck they was doing with them , i also told the tech that had to be the reason they quit, he didnt like it lol. I also have a venom 4s 5000mah 35c is this battery big enough for my setup? THANKS for any HELP!!!

I like no less than 50c in a marine application. It's just to demanding to use any less. The deans connectors part is true. I doubt that's what caused a failure. In my one experience with a hydra 240 esc...it does not like water. At all. Mine didn't smoke tho. It only maxed at 120 amps. It got a few drops of water and that was it. They told me the 10000mah thing too. I've never had a problem running 5000mah.

I think a Swordfish 220 Pro should be enough for your setup. You should also look into the SPC brand of lipos.
