Hi guys what are your opinions on the Genesis cat from hobby king? Does anyone own one? how do they go?

Do a search on the forum. You will find tons.. and I mean tons of information on this cat. I have one that I have been building for a while. I like it but from what I have learned the stock drive train and motor are junk. Upgrading to a 3/16'' drive set and a nice motor will be a good start. I ran mine on the stock setup on 6s (yes I know... A little too much for a 2075kv motor) I blew the prop up in a matter of minutes (junk plastic prop) pulled it out if the water and tore the entire set up out and put a Leo 4082 1600kv with a swordfish 200a pro esc on 6s and it runs great. -
I run a Genesis with a 2200kv motor on 6S...it depends on what your looking to do as to what setup to use....do some research and you will see alot of info on the HK Genesis also known as the TFL Daytona...as already mentioned the stock setup is not that good.....DJTunnels-PS295. Apologies in advance for the stupid noob question, but I purchased a Genesis boat that was setup as a ready to run system and the shaft tube arrived bent. I'm trying to get the boat up and running but I can't seem to get in touch with the seller. Does anyone know what diameter the shaft tube is and where I can find a replacement? The seller also mentioned an upgraded drive system...what parts would I need to replace other than the shaft tube?Comment
