Want feedback on attitude.....Twin Shocker 88.0mph up to 92.2mph, Need 100mph!!!

    OSE Fam,

I was in the pursuit of 80mph and would have been happy, then I hit 85mph, then 88mph , and now 92.2mph so it's time to go all out.... I am interested in feedback from anyone in regards to the attitude and sound of my Shocker Twin. Do you think it too much boat in the water, what do the rpm's sound like ( enough prop in the water or could I adjust more?) Based on the ride attitude do you think if I went positive on the angle of the struts it would be more balanced and sit down a little more snug to the water? What do you think, I'm so close to 100mph I'm in hot pursuit now...... might not get there but I'm excited that i'm in the 90+ mph club!!!

I posted the video here so you can observe and provide your feedback. Thanks

What set up are you running. I went 102 mph in my shocker on 6s.

Looks like it's about 2mm too low on the right rear.

Kidding! It's so fast in that vid you can hardly see it! Congrats on the speed and if you haven't already, try longer runs. Have you considered running at a SAW event? What voltage are you running?

Thanks Mark and KB! I'm running Twin TP Motor set ups with T-180's on 6s. I can definitely try longer runs , the crazy thing is I get nervous on the ones i'm making now...LOL..... I never really thought about SAW because I'm fairly new to the boat world...... I started out with Cars 5 years ago and drag race professionally on the IMDRA circuit. I started out with RTR boats and in May started putting together my 1st boat builds. This was the 1st to be completed and I am very pleased with the results. With my limited knowledge of the FE world I didn't know I would get to this point so quick but I must say this OSE Forum had alot to do with it!!! Where can I go to see the records and classes? Again, I'm new to that stuff so need some direction. Thanks!

IMPBA and NAMBA are the two organizations that sanction events in the US, visit their sites and check the current records. Your cat would be "Q-catamaran". I think the current IMPBA Q record is in the 90s so you're not far off. There's an event in Flint, MI in October. I'll be there and would be happy to do anything I can to help. There may be closer events to you still this year. The schedule is on the IMPBA site. NAMBA currently only runs SAW events in California.

Do you have any slightly wider lakes around you? I think that might help as you can just keep it clamped with confidence, I only do saw style passes on really big lakes but they're also much more finicky as water conditions are more variable.

I don't have experience with over 100 but have a lot in 85-98 mph, few rules for me. I like to get it running so there is light under most of the hull, a boat that rides wet will just hit ripples and waves harder, and bring about its own demise because of too much sponson in the water. I used to run too much negative/forward cg, I never went out without crashing and we're talking at 95 mph it was still possible to ride wet.

It seems like whatever you're doing is working for you, aside from prop advice I would be careful listening to people on here except for those people that are very well respected. You're getting a lot of solid gps runs and the boat is still in one piece (looks like it anyway), some guys would be blowing out hulls every month chasing after 100. My friend and I run together all the time and took advice from a few "well respected," members on running attitude and a bunch of other bs, resulted in changing beautiful running boats into complete monsters that spent most of their time flipped over. You'll get to 100 make sure shes full of pool noodles, taped well or consider hatch bolts, anything you can to boost confidence as crashing is inevitable.
