    motor lead soldering question

On motors with 4mm conections when ur going to a biger size conection is it ok to solder to the connection or should you remove it:and solder direct to the wire in other words if u connect to the connector will it cause it to get hot.even with a good soldering joint.

You should solder directly to the wire-- the purpose of going to a larger connector is to reduce resistance from the system and stacking up connectors would increase it.

Note, DO NOT cut the motor wires-- many motors have varnished windings, and only the tips of the original wire are solder-able. If you cut the motor wires, you won't be able to get the solder to stick. If you want to shorten any leads, do it on the ESC side not the motor side (ok to shorten battery leads too).
