    Rio 51 Conversion

I am converting my rio 51 because I am tired of the junk fuji motor crapping out on me. I have been looking around online and am thinking about going with this setup. The boat is 1295.4mm

    Motor- http://www.helipal.com/leopard-lbp56...ess-motor.html

    or this motor http://www.helipal.com/leopard-lbp56...ess-motor.html

This is the ESC I am thinking about running.

    ESC- http://alienpowersystem.com/shop/boa...s-boat-esc-hv/

I might go with a lower amp ESC but I feel this boat needs to run on 8s or 10s to be fast and fun.

If anyone out there has some info about converting this boat let me know also if there is a better system out there let me know.

I kinda want to keep the cost down but want reliable products.

    Thanks for the time,
    Brian

I have nothing to offer, but I'm tagging this thread for future reading. Best wishes with this project OP.

    EDIT>>>

After checking out the motor specs, it lists max voltage as 35 volts. If you're planning on running 10s, that will put you at a nominal voltage of 37 volts. Will it instantly fry that motor... doubtful, but it certainly will stress it. Also, 10s on 1090 kv is around 40,000 rpms unloaded. On 8s, you will be around 32,000 which will help things last longer. If you're set on running 10s, I would personally drop into the 800 kv range.
