Hi Kevin;
I'll be heading out tomorrow afternoon, the weather is supposed to be perfect!

The Rio is out of commission till next year. I snapped my second prop shaft a few weeks ago (Drive dog, prop, prop nut and 3 inches of 1/4" shaft at the bottom of the pond). As this is the second time in 5 weeks, its obvious that the stock shaft can't handle the power of the big LMT. I'll be looking for a quality replacement shaft assy over the winter.

I be out with a few other boats from my fleet tomorrow.

those lehners have alot of power. i cant wait to install my 2280 in my drifter cat.

tomorrow ill be having my thankgiving dinner at my parents place since this is the only day all the immediate family can get together.

but sunday is looking good for me. let me know if you can make it out sunday as well if you arent doing your turkey day then.

Hmmm, foam again, lol, I wish Aquacraft would sell the hull empty .I would like to put a couple of MHZ drives on it and custom make a driver/ interior hatch cover to look like a older Fountain and get rid of the Rio decals . Not a speed freak but some moderate electrics in the 45 mph range for that scale appearance.

What differance does it make how old the thread is ? , looking for an empty rio 51 hull , Why spend 800.00 if your not gonna use any of the guts.

Hi Jeff ,thanks for the kind words ,I didn't think it would matter how old the thread was,I just assumed people still read them . Doby dosent like me cause we disagree on the use of foam. I'm sure he has good reason for his opinion ,I just disagree , no big deal . I have been in the real boat business and a hobby boat dealer for 35 years so i am new to the forum but not to the hobby. 45 years , International Hobbies Amps dealer 84-92 , Aeromarine Laminates dealer from 86- 2016 Arrow Skark dealer 2012 - 16 Won many races and shows .
