Which SW 26 you got? BL or brushed, if it is a brushed version, you are not going to gain a lot of speed by dropping the motor into another hull. Which CAT currently you have, are you looking for something faster than your cat?
Too many boats, not enough time...

Delta force 26 or bling rocket 26. I wouldn't use that hardware on the Shockwave tho. The motor yea, good 6s motor but the esc isn't up to snuff either.

The 1500kv would work well in any boat within 30 inches. I have a DF26 with that motor, runs great. The DF 26 can be pushed with a higher kv motor running on 4s though, the 1500 kv in that boat is getting a moderate speed but I had no intention to push it further.
If you like CATs, consider a MeanMachine hull, drop that motor and run 6s, should be plenty of fun.

2 Cents is good, thanks, that is what info i was looking for. since i am still new to the rc boats what esc would i need to run 6 s in the mean green hull and also let me upgrade the motor at a latter time. i guessing i can still use the rx and tx off that boat. and the rudder servo or would i need to upgrade the steering. i need the nickles worth this time

I was using Seaking's 180a ESC , that was the V2 ( version2). Now there is a new one but not many people have used it yet.
Honestly I prefer a bigger motor in the mean Machine, I use a Neu 1515 1y (2200kv) , running on 4s2p. My suggestion was based on my impression that you want to use your Proboat 1500 kv motor for the time being.
Almost any 4074 sized motor would do and your kv selection depends on what kind of batteries you want to invest. If you run 4s, 2200kv would be a good choice.
The rx and tx are very good , I would however use an upgrade on your servo.

I thought the Sprint Cat is smaller, could be dead wrong though.

Actually, the two of them have the same lower hull. The top is different

Yes, you are correct, I went by Kintec's listing, it says 27 1/4" long, I don't have the MM in front of me and thought the MM is close to 30".
                        Thanks for pointing out!
