Hold on a minute - I'm feeling left out from not getting my fair share of abuse having built three Cheetahs (with the rear sponson AoA differing from the other two) and they don't plow. Should I recall the two customer builds and re-do mine to correct the imaginary design flaw ? Or did I just get lucky and get three hulls from the "good" mold ? After all, the running attitude can't simply rely on setup and tune - incorrect running must be due to those pesky design flaws

Having said what I did, I would most definitely run the boat and tune it before ever considering modding the hull based on others experience.

What if you mod the hull and run it with a good setup without ever running it in stock form , is that a good setup ? Or is the hull been proven to work better without this mod ?

I'm never buying a Chinese hull because they are too controversial .

Really? That's where we're going on this? Wish I was smarter or had some skills.

My setup was the same as the setup on Fred's Sprint Cat which has set the national record multiple times.

I will seek closure on this issue the only way that works for me : (the only way to settle all the anguish created by any FE disagreement)

Or the solution for FE vegetarians :

In some cases is obvious before you even run a hull that it's going to be problematic if not addressed:

haha Tony, I ate that for lunch but there were two patties.

                          Lightening up now.

Wouldn't it make sense for me to just say the hulls are perfect? Every time. All the time.

IDK. Maybe it's less pronounced on a lighter build. Mine went 6s instead of 4s. It was really really fast once I got it to come out of the water.

That is how mine looked before I did the mod to it. No I never ran it before I did the mod but felt as I was doing the body work for paint I mite as well do the mod. This is mine after mod. I have yet to run it so I have no video of it. Was going to this past week end till the water issue here in Toledo Oh.

Ummm.. Yeah. If I receive a hull that had camber in the ride pads, I would most definitely be addressing that before running the boat.
