Putting hatch locks on a Genesis

Hi,
I'm pretty new to boats.
I'm looking for advice on putting hatch locks on a Genesis that I just bought.
I see Kintec sells the hatch locks, but I'm not sure what size is best?
Also, not sure whether to put down some rubber liner on the hull to help the hatch seal better?
Another question. I have seen some wide hatch tape in videos and pics. The hatch tape I have is about 3/4" wide. Where can I get this wider tape? Would clear shipping tape have too strong of an adhesive?

Check out some build threads. I have a couple showing what I've done. I use thumb screws and a seal. Works perfect.

If going for hatch locks go with Aeromarine ones. The other knock offs 'may' bust leaving your hatch uncomfortably ON. Plain old 'Door seal' works for sealing for sport, and hockey tape(for hockey socks)is best for conditions where a flip is probable.

the hockey tape is easiest. You can buy it at your local Big 5 sporting goods. or some other sporting goods stores sell it too. Its cheap roughly 3-5 bucks a roll.

I'll check with some of the local sports store. We have Dick's Sporting Goods and Sports Authority close by.
