Just replaced the Cable Liner but have question.

On my SuperVee 27R I just replaced the drive cable, cable liner and brass bushing. With the new cable liner installed, it keeps pushing out towards the coupler. It also spins with the cable. Does this put more strain on the motor? What can I do to fix this?

    That is a "loaded" issue.
I normally use a large dia. silicone fuel tubing at the end to prevent water from coming in, and my liner would protrude the brass tube by 1mm at the most, the silicone tube grabs both the brass tube and then the liner then "steps" down the have a seal around the cable. The tension/friction between the liner and the silicone tube usually is enough to prevent what is happening to you.
    However,
on my UL-1, the same has happened and the rotation was so strong that it will gouge the inner wall of the silicone tube and break it, I shortened the liner so it resides inside the brass tube, but the rotation sends it out like a drill bit.
So I went another route, I bought thick walled Clear Vinyl Tubing from hardware store. These are meant for water filtration system for refrigerators and water filter systems for home.
I got two sizes: 1st being the O.D. =1/4". 2nd being the O.D.=3/8" . I cut a 1/2" piece from the 3/8" tube, then a 1/4" piece from the 1/4" tube. I stuff the smaller tube into the larger tube, then the whole combo to the stuffing tube. Used small ziptie to tighten both sections.
    Pic. will tell the story:

This picture shows my "normal" fuel tubing set up to prevent water from coming in, this one is without the liner, .187 cable inside a 1/4" K&S brass tube:

    Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks, these look like some good ideas. I wasn't sure if I needed to glue it or what. Or if it was suppose to spin. I will try your methods.

The liner is not supposed to spin, and if it touches the collet, there is a chance that it will be shredded and the strands will mangle up with the windings of the cable and the result is not good. There really is no way to glue it, and I suspect the liner we get is meant for K&S 1/4'' tube, the tube AquaCraft uses may be of a metric origin and thus there is too much space in between.
