TURN FIN Developement?? Attention Steven V.

This note is really directed at anyone out there in the business of supplying our fine hobby with parts...

There is a MAJOR lack of options for GOOD, RIGID, hydroplane turn-fins out there... If you are looking to develop a product to sell, it would be useful to the community to come up with a line of REALLY good turn fins for racing. A setup like the Miss Vegas fins, only RIGID/LESS-Flexy, would be great... Various sizes for the various sizes of hulls... maybe even a right and left option...

That would help us a LOT...

I agree, I know there are a few guys that sell fins on the International forum but for the most part getting a nice fin means you have to do it yourself. I do like the Blazer Style fin on my hydro's and I am testing a differnent type of fin on my Sport 40 tonight.

The hard part about producing turn fins is that there are so many ideas as to preferred size, shape and material. Not that it shouldn't be done, it's just a component that is tough to produce economically.

I used the HSX turn fin from Tough Racing (Korea) on my Campbell Shovel http://www.toughracing.com/

They have 19 different turn fins. The HSX is extremely stout, with a substantial machined aluminum bracket and a stainless steel fin (required sharpening).
