Whats going on with Kintec Racing

does anyone know what is going on with kintec racing. I placed an order/paid on July 5. I never got a confirmation email. I have emailed them 3 times and called and left messages 2 times. Its going on 10 days now and I can't get any answer from them. If this was a $20 or $30 dollar order I wouldn't worry about it but its a $200 order. If anyone has any insight into whats going on please let me know. If I don't get a response from them within the next day or so I am going to have to file a claim with Paypal.

I have had a few problems in the past with orders from them (I.E. backordered parts) that were late in arriving but this is getting ridiculous.

I havent had an issue. sometimes stuff isnt in stock and it gets sent out later. He is unusually slow to respond to emails...but....I emailed steve a month ago and never received a response.

I placed an order with Kintec on July 5 as well. I got a PayPal receipt, but never got a shipping notice until about a week later. The order arrived yesterday and is perfect. Communication was a bit slow, but it all worked out in the end. I did email Jan last week Thursday July 10 about my order. A few hours later I had an email that said my order just shipped.

Just received an email from him yesterday. He had some issues with a certain supplier and was waiting for a shipment to come in. You called? Didn't know there was a number to call. Be patient, Jan always comes through.

Yea I've emailed and called several times. I to got a paypal receipt but nothing from Kintec. Their phone number is on my paypal receipt. I hate to get paypal involved.

I do hate to be ignored myself. do what you gotta do....maybe that will get his attention and maybe start answering emails.

I just sent them another email. I will give it another day and then if I haven't heard anything I will have to turn it over to Paypal. I hate to have to do that.

you know if u do a paypal disput the stuff will arrive the next day,, don't u have 30 days or so to disput it? id give it a few more days myself but do what u need to do as I understand the no answer to emails etc.....

Id hate to do it too but not responding is rude. thats part of running a business.

Do what you think is fair. I understand the fustration. However, the smaller the company, the more lenient I am, especially a one man show that also has a day job and is only one of a few sources for parts in this hobby....

It amazes me how many people complain about kintec and how he runs his business, yet shop there, having had issues in the past and KNOWING how kintec operates... Then start complaining when they don't get their stuff in a week and jan doesn't drop his life to email back.


We ALL know how kintec runs... And that you WILL get your order, yet here is another thread crying about it.

Buy from him or don't. Just quit complaining for cripes sake...

I disputed the PayPal and within MINUTES! Yes Minutes he got back to me to tell me he did not have it. He did return the money but what a jerk not to respond until I too the money back.

Why the excuse of a "one man operation"? I run a "One man operation" and get back to my clients immediately. Maybe that's why I am successful.

Howard, you do run a successful business...I've used your services before. All I"m saying is, not one person is making a living selling model boat parts. Anyone that runs a store like Kintec or OSE I assume only does it because they enjoy the hobby. I agree that not answering is bad practice. I order parts at least every month and I've always got a response, sometimes it take a while. Sounds like your experience is worse then most, however the majority of the complaints on here are within a week of ordering. I just don't want to lose one of the few outlets we have for parts...
