    What to power 58" hull?

    So here is the story....
I sold my Spartan to a guy and he was basically using my Spartan as his starter boat to see if he liked it. Well of course he did but the only problem: Spartan is small for choppy waters.
He had his fiberglass guy build a V hull that is 58", but we are both lost on powering. He comes from Nitro and I come from electric (land RC's) but have never been around a boat his size. He most likely will want to do gas but if we were to do electric what electronics would you recommend? I don't know how efficient the hull is so let's not blow up some ESC's! Lol
I don't know the width yet but I do appreciate your input.

I will get pictures and specs posted.
Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

Thanks, I will continue reading! lol The boat is 11" wide. Will post pics when he gets back in town. I really appreciate the info guys! I can't wait to get this finished. He wants it to run at 80MPH.... I think 70 is safe but we will see.
