    Hole in strut

Hi all. I've always noticed a small pin hole on the top of the strut at the back of it. I've never thought much of it but I would like to ask the question, why is it there? Is it to relieve pressure inside the stuffing tube, or is it a a provisional point for installing a grease nipple, allowing the flex cable to be greased? Curious to know people's thoughts and opinions.

Tfl(Horracing) has a strut with a rear nipple for greasing (not really a pinhole)...... must be your case.Gill

It's for greasing but you need a pin tip on your greese gun to use it, like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/360899847554?lpid=82
