    clear coat pealing

not sure where this thread should go but .... the clear is pealing off my whip like it had a bad sunburn last week lol....It is a fairly old boat(5 or 6 years) so a new paint job is in order...I have never painted before so tell me what sand paper I should use to get this thing smooth and ready to prim etc....thanks

I would start with some 220 wet paper Ron. Wet sanding will be best for the layers of paint. You can work on to 320 then 400. 400 should be it for primer but perhaps 600 before paint. Lots of nice cool sanding while sitting in the summer heat, almost sounds like an speaking project ;-)

I would use blocks, foam, whatever works and doesn't make lines
