    Trim tabs not trim fins

Made post a couple of days ago accidently called trim tabs trim fins, how close to outside diameter of prop on 3" stinger on a 40" boat should the inside edge of trim tabs be?

Depends on how the hull is handling to were you position the trim tabs.

On my hulls i never fit trim tabs during the initial build, i set the boat up hopefully so that i do not need them and then run the boats. If the boat is exhibiting any behavior that cannot be be solved by strut adjustment or prop selection then i will install trim tabs on the side of the boat and at the right point to help correct the behavioral problems.

steve ,thanks for the reply, boat hasn't made it in water, right know trim fins are installed with inner edge just inside of the diameter of prop. Hoping to get it in the water by end of the month. thanks again for your imput.
