    New genesis build

I'm new to electric boats always been a gas and nitro man.. I'm getting tired of being outrun by the electric so I resorted to the can't beat them join them. I have a bare no holes new genesis hull and 2 110 mm stingers . I wanting to build a twin that will run in the 65-70mph range. Any suggestions as far as motor, batteries, and speed controls . Any info would greatly be appreciated !!! Thanks please be patient I'm just learning...

Thanks cheeko... I'm not dead set on the twins. I guess I'm not real sure if what this hull is capable of.

i have been trying to get numbers like that for a while but it seems quite hard, i run a single flexshaft with a tp4070 1770kv and a sk180, 6s 4500mah im just experimenting with props now and cant seem to get over 50mph
what kind of speeds you getting cheeko ?

I got 78mph (gps) out of a single 1515 2200kv on 6S running a 642 prop going to a prather 220 next should gain another 5mph or more.....I personally dont think the Genesis is a good choice for a twin (thats my thought) Im sure others will disagree, its to tight of an area to work in for me. You will also need to Carbon fiber and strengthen the hull regardless of what setup you decide on. The Genesis is a nice boat, but the hull is very thin. There are numerous Genesis/Daytona builds in the build thread forum, Check them out and you will learn alot....have fun... DJ
