    Mystery Rigger--Help Identify

I picked this rigger up at a garage sale last week. I know it is a gas or glow rigger but the guy didn't know anything else about it. It came with an Octura 1467 prop and hardware. It is 41" long. I would like to know what brand rigger it is. Hopefully some one on here will know. The guy said he bought it 12 years ago. I am thinking a leo 5692 on 10s would be cool. Hell I only gave $20 for it so I could hang it on the wall, because the prop is worth more than that. Any help with identifying this thing would be great.

nope it looks like its a mongoose with a custom set of sponsons. That cowl is a mongoose cowling and the tub looks like a mongoose tub minus the rear shoes under the ass end. Looks like it could be a fun project.

The cowl is definitely the original Jaguar cowl from Tide Water, Andy Brown was the builder / designer, the tub looks similar to the Jaguar however i would need a shot of the inside to be sure. The sponsons i do not recognize, the picture attached is the Jaguare from TW

Do you have any flight wings for this rigger?

Most likely a Mongoose from when Andy worked at Tidewater. Regardless do yourself a favor and move the rudder to the right side of the transom.

That is pretty common in the builds that Nitro guys are doing... I've hear it called carbon tissue, veil, or mat

I am fixin to start putting this thing together. For power I am thinking 8s or 10s. I have available a Lehner 2250 1100 kv or a leo 5692 1000 kv. I have a XL-2 esc for 8s or ETTI 220a pro for 8s or 10s. I can fit either set up in it I think. What do you guys think. This would mainly be used for straight line speed. I would like to see 100-120 mph.

That looks like maybe a nitro version of a viper rigger with a different cowl.
