Dumb question of the day - Programming reverse

I'm obviously a newbie here, so please forgive my ignorance. I love these new fast electric boats, but have not figured out how to program reverse.

My Spartan came with it, and it comes in pretty handy! My UL-1 did not come programmed for reverse, although they appear to be similar levels of technology.

Could someone perhaps point me to a tutorial on this subject?

    Thanks!

No reverse in that speed controller. Many marine ESCs do not have reserse, just as many car controllers do not. With marine ESCs the issue is the potential to unwind the flex cable. You can find them.

So the reverse function resides in the ESC? And if it's in the ESC then any radio can access it?

If the ESC has reverse functionality, with a wheel transmitter you simply push the trigger forward and the boat backs up.
