    short rudder vs long rudder.

    i have a fightercat cheetah. its got a speedmaster rudder about 4 inches (dont remember its at the shop).

    its pretty long so im concerned. what are the pros and cons?

    Man Chris, you are up way too late thinking about this....lol the pros are you can carve your name at the bottom of the lake with that rudder...just kidding.. I think you should run it and see how it handles. If you want we can trim that rudder down. If I remember, there's room to trim some off .

      i think i have the same rudder on my mean machine. it does look quite long below the water line. id say by a second blade, slowly trim down til handling gets better, once it gets worse, stop and trim the second blade down to the last known good spot and leave it there.

        lmao @ idontswim thats an outstanding idea!!

        well i ran it today with the 1730 and ran damn goood!

        i ran a little wet so when i moved the batteries back BOOOY what a difference!!!

        i have the leo 1600 and sk 180 now!!!! should suit this hull well.

        i posted the leo 1730 and esc here for $220 shipped!!
