    best rough water catamaran hull

i am looking for a hull in the 41" to 52" range that will run on a moderate chop. at speeds around 64 to 70. i have a intruder mk ll that is 38" that it has to be claim to run it. the sponsons on the intruder are very shallow in the back its built more for speed. i want something more for rough water at the big lake i run at. Thanks

I'd imagine any boat that size at those speeds is going to get tossed around quite a bit. Also depends on definition of moderate chop

No bigger than 4" to 6". It doesn't have to run that fast in the chop I just want the hull to be capable to run those speeds when claim or light chop. I want something wide and stable.

I have a 51" victory with twin castle 2028s that I'm sure can handle some chop with no problem, and opened up could run close t those speeds.

I would be considering something with dihedral sponsons rather than flat ride pads. A deep tunnel certainly would help.

That being said, Sprint cats have a very narrow pad area and are wide and built for race waters. If the budget is tight I think Promise hobby has something similar.

            I believe Ray has one.

Ah yes the promise hobby hull is pretty cool. I believe it's 47 or 48.

What about the WHM 50" cat? Is it a good hull and what would be a good 10s set to run 65 to 70 or the avenger 44" with the same set up as above. Thanks for the help guys.

Aeromarine Conquest. Wide, stable, turns well and easy to set up.

Add Castle 2028 and Swordfish 240 and you are good to go.

                          Most are built as singles.
