    1415 rotor replacement

Does anyone know where to get replacement rotors for Neu motors. I have a couple of Castle 1415 motors with the 1/8" shaft and would like to replace the rotor with one from a Neu 1415 that is 5mm.

the reason for this is I want to run 3/16 flex in a daytona twin, but I can't find 1/8 x 3/16 couplers, or 1/8 x 5mm couplers, or 3mm x 5mm couplers. I am going to start this twin off with 1415's and may go to 1515's or 4050's in the future, thats why I want to run 3/16 flex.

Well ive looked for that rotor, I actually just bought one of those motors and it came in yesterday. Your cheapest option is a adapter sleeve. im not so sure the neu rotor would fit....ive noticed some of the motors are smaller than thier castle brothers. not sure on the rotor tho....guess that would be a question for nue or castle. I may give them a call today and find out what my options are. They used to sell this rotor....i actually found it online at a few places ($55 tho) ill look again and post the links. prolly cheaper than a neu rotor anyway.

Just hung up with castle. Rotors not available for the 1415 or 1515 any more. He said the rotor is not the same for the 1415 and 1515 also. im still going to find out to be sure tonight anyway. It was also said that thier was talks of a 5mm version 1415 being released. He said he wasnt allowed to neither confirn nor deny if it were official. In my opionion, you can count on it.It does not make sense to me to make this motor with a little shaft only and then the 1410 3800kv version can be bought with either shaft. So be looking for the 5mm version in the near future and possibly a replacement rotor kit. I will confirm whether the 1515 rotor fits tonight.

The 1515 rotor was discontinued because they made some changes to the later model motors to where they wont work with the earlier motors and they didnt want confusion of which is which so it would be easier to discontinue it. blah.

Thats where I saw that. I couldn't remember. I have a 1515 also I guess I could just pull the rotor and see for my self. I guess it really doesn't matter if you can't get replacement rotors. Thanks Revoltrunner, Ill check out the aeromarine couplers
