    Joysway SMX upgrades?

Hi ! I have a Super Mono X from Joysway and i´m looking for a little more speed in it.
What can I do to make it go faster with original motor/esc ?
different prop maybe? Bigger battery ?

And if i´m looking to buy a new motor and esc, any ideas wich I should go for , and suitable prop ?

    Thanks !

I am waiting for a 32mm metal prop from hobbyking which I will thin/balance/sharpen to see what difference it makes over 30mm plastic prop - My 20A esc will blow up, so I will go for something like a 35A esc. You can use a dremmel on the left side on the extra servo stands where the lipo are situated to move your lipo further back to the rear. I have cut down my rudder to a total of 62mm for less drag and sharpened it. If you want to use a different motor you would need to hack the stock motor mount and install another mount. You can also scuff the last 3rd on the back of the hull.

      Thanks for the great info!
So far I have bought a spare 50A Mystery ESC, incase the original 25A(I had a 25A in mine from factory) burns. And I have installed a GT3C-receiver so I can use my GT3 controller. It was much better response and travel now with the new reciever/transmitter.
And switched side of the ESC because it was leaning to the left in the water, havent tried it yet though.

What can you do to the shaft, I think it vibrates and make a lot of noise?

Yes sorry, also had a 25a esc installed. Don`t know, my shaft does not vibrate - maybe make sure that the motor shaft and flex are aligned correctly. Just use a dremel on the motor mounts to drop/angle the motor correctly or add washers. Also moved my ecs to the middle, in front of the motor.

Will check into that! hopefully the self-rightning function still works when I moved the ESC, otherwise i´ll just move it back.

Just remember - I don`t think self rightning is suppose to work on it`s own - you need to give a blip on the throttle to let it self right

Correct...I have an ATOMIC BarbWire(same boat), and once you capsize, the weight of the outrunner motor spinning during the throttle blip will flip the boat over. This is a great design. These little boats are really quick!

Had a Little "accident" with the boat yesterday... I threw in the boat in the water with the nose first, gav it some throttle when it was submerged... very dumb. The boat lost connection with my Flysky-radio and dove straight to the bottom with full throttle! The depth was about 2,5-3meters and the only thing i saw was swirvles in the water. After 30 seconds the boat floated to Surface and bobbing with the front over water.
The boat was full with water and the ESC smoked and smelled burned Electronics :)

Now I have ordered a Mystery 50A ESC and a ADS400-motor from Hobbyking... maybe its a bit overkill for the boat :)
