    A Kv of 1600-1800 is pretty high for 6S, prop choice will be critical for performance and longevity. A more moderate, safer choice would be one in the 1200-1400 range; this would swing a larger prop (as was originally intended for this hull) and the result would be more enjoyable for a sport boat. The hull design limits its top speed anyway.

      Just out if curiosity, what is the fastest one of these runs, or average speed for a "fast" f1 style boat? Seems they were quite popular for a while. Not sure if they still are.

        IIRC, nitro versions ran in the 40s to perhaps low 50s in oval trim. Today's hulls don't usually run much faster.
