Submerged prop boat? Davette runner bottom

Got a Davette runner bottom drag boat hull, was going to build it like a scale copy of my Cole flat bottom. Anyone build a submerged prop deal before? Hull is 44 inches, has some small runners (tunnels) won't be as efficient as a cat hull. Thinking just use it for short acceleration and not much cornering, if the prop will even work decent under the boat

Back in my nicd days submerged is all we ran till Graupner came out with a few options. Of course it will work but you will run a substantially smaller prop than a surface drive where only half the prop is in the water. Ken is going this route with his big(45") Dumas hull. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...t-Dumas-Scarab He is just getting to that part of the build.

Sub-surface drive will work best with the bottom.
