    genesis owners

im running two 3 cell turnigy 5000 mah 65-130 to make 6s. i blew a cell in one pack and i would like to run two 6 cells to get longer run time (in parallel). the question is will they fit in the hull of my genesis? batts are located in pontoons now and would like to keep it that way. 1600kv leopard seaking 180. thank you and open to any other suggestions

I run 2 5S packs in mine. They slide right in, so 6S should fit.

Another quick question. So i run the two 3 cell 5000 mah 65-130 c in searies with no issues after a good 30 runs besides a dead cell. So i would want to run two 6 cell 2500 mah with same discharge in parellel to be producing the same amount of power correct?

Two 6s packs each with a capacity of 2500 mah will equal 5,000 mah of available power when wired in parallel.

        Series doubles voltage

        Parallel doubles capacity (mah).

The idea to run parallel is to INCREASE run time, your 2500mah 6s would not yield any more run time compared to your current setup which is 2x3s=6s, total mah is 5000 which is the same as you 6s2p ( 2x2500mah=5000mah).
How much room do you have in the sponson, what is the max mah in a single 6s that you can put in there.
Too many boats, not enough time...

Two 6s 5000mah 65c-130c Turnigy A-Spec packs will fit, one in each Sponson. I've done it, it yielded 71mph with a Tacon 4074 2150kv and a Turnigy 180 ESC x446 prop.

I dont get how twice as much cells would not increase runtime. Two of my 3 cells would equal one 6 cell. Correct me if im wrong

Im looking to get same power longer runtime is my goal. Right now i get about 3-5 min runtime depending on prop

                  Two 3s 5000mah in series gives 6s 5000mah capacity.
Two 6s 5000mah in parallel gives 6s 10,000mah capacity = longer run times.

Will too high of a mah affect electronics?

Only if you run to long constantly due to longer run times with the extra capacity.

One last question. So my 3s 5000mah 65-130c blew a cell and i need a replacement but hobby king is sold out for now. If you run in searies do the batts have to be identical ? Example 3s 5000 65 one pack and the other pack 3s 4500 65. Would that be ok?

The batteries should to be the same c rating, same mah & preferably the same make.
