    Old style T180

I burned up my Swordfish 220 recently so picked up an old style T180 from Chili on OSE here. Have program box and set everything but have no servo function. Motor turns and works correctly but servo will not operate at all. Everything got pretty hot when ESC fried could I have burned up servo also? Any ideas? Thx Jeff

get yourself a cheap servo tester and you will be able to test them in the future, I picked one up from value hobby for less than $10 and I love it

YOu could have an esc with a burnt Bec in it too.

Disconnect red wire and try an Rx pack or separate UBEC.

Why are you bothering me? I want to see your boat!

I never used the BEC when I ran the controller Jeff. I always ran a separate receiver pack and ran an extension with the red wire clipped to take a little more load off the ESC. I don't think I did but make sure I didn't clip the red wire on the controllers plug. Try a separate receiver pack and servo if you can borrow one and if you keep having problems and think it's the ESC, PM me and I'll make it right. I never had a problem with the controller but I don't like selling people crap.
