Really fast IMO but not happy turning.

Anyone know what's up with the Seaducer site? I tried to go there to look and can't seem to get there. The Seaducer has the ugliest canopy on earth if I remember correctly. Like half a coffee can.
That's the best I've seen about that cowl yet! I know they had just come out with a new 50 inch gas mono, but as far as the site, I havent been on it in a while.

      Terry,

Piece of advice. These 10s Cats are Beasts. Mine weighs 20lbs. 10kmah and a lehner 3080 with a schulze 40/334..Popped the Swordfish 300. Pulls 280 amps
at 70 plus. (No way you can race at that speed BTW. The boats just can't handle the chop created at that speed. (Just for your comparison my Gas R42 weighs in at 14 pounds and does 65mph and likes to fly!)
They ain't cheap and when they stuff at 70 bad things happen. But you know that. I love the looks of the R42 but it would be nice if he reinforced the hull with Carbon fiber in some key spots to strengthen it. I cracked mine and reinforced it after.

I raced a Stryker F-41 and my current A/C R-42 and trophied against gas cats. Club members have raced Conquests and Avengers with good success, although the Avengers are pretty flighty. I have yet to see a Stryker T44 run well, most who traded in their F-41s for the T44s want them back. Insanes were popular for awhile, the Stryker T44 is a shameless copy therof. The Blast Cat runs great in rough water but it won't 'come on' in smoother water with those big pads blocking all the air to the tunnel. The Seaducers I have seen run were okay, but they look pretty silly.

My F-41 ran well but weighed 21 pounds with a 3060 and 10S2P. I like the R-42 best, it handles very well, is fast enough and is very well built. Light too, I built mine 10S1P/6500 with a Neu 2215, it can do 7 laps plus mill easily. At under seventeen pounds it is close to gas cat weight too. Hatch looks funny but I live with that. I was going to go for a Conquest with the Avenger Pro hatch before the full coverage R-42 hatch came out. I'm happy.

Maybe an R42 in my future.

Love the looks of those AB cats but that is a ton of money to spend on a hull that's a mystery.

The R-42s are nice boats... And truth is... You get what you pay for. Andy knows his stuff.

Now that is the truth, You do get what you pay for most of the time. But really if you are racing a Electric in Offshore you do not need a real big boat to run against a bunch of 34 to 37 inch boats. The road hogs will push ya all they can. But racing Electrics against a Gas Boat/boats ya need a big boat so you do not fall in a hole.

It is a one off. I could build one and planned to. Just never got around to it.

This is a fun thread one of the things I tossed around a lot. I love the big boat it runs a 2230 1y on 10S2P Schultz 40.160. I can spin a X467 to a X455 depending on what I want to do. runs 67MPH with the gas dudes.

That 2230 doesn't even know it's in the boat does it?
I've been considering building one to race in open offshore.
