Cause of death: Water frying the esc.
I haven't been able to get to the lake very often due to gas expense and time constraints, so when I was able to get there, I was a little put off about flipping it in about 30 sec of driving. Usually I get it back, empty out any water and call it a day to let it dry. Since it was within the first 30 sec of driving it and I wasn't sure when I would get a chance to come back.
I said " Well, it didn't have but a few drops in the bottom" Trying to convince myself it was ok. I made sure everything was plugged back in and turned on, taped the hatch back up and sent it back out.
Another 30 sec or so and the boat stops. I let out a sigh of destiny not wanting me to drive it today. Grabbed the pole and again and fished it out. I got it out of the water and a bystander asks "What happened? It was going good." I gave him the shrug to say I wasn't sure and proceeded to pull the trigger to see if was running or something came loose or what.
Smoke started pouring out the lid, I ripped the lid off(being taped on it was surpisingly hard to do, seemed like 5min to get off
) Flames shot out of the hull when the fresh air hit the esc fire
I reached in long enough to yank the lipo out and watched as the hot esc melted a spot on the abs hull and leave the lovely smell of stupidity behind.
