    Noob question about connections...

Ok, my Turnigy 180a esc does not have an on/off switch. This means when I hook up the 6s battery, a fairly large spark occurs and snap noise at the bullet connector. Looks bad. I'm afraid this may be damaging to the lipo or the esc.

    Any thoughts?

It's nomal, You can get a Anti Spark connector, what it does is load the Capasitors more slowly so you don't get that snap when you hook up the batteries

I agree with Chris. The snap and spark let you know your caps are working. While something can be made or purchased to stop this it's best to leave it be. Jeff
