    P-MONO problem ?

Hi all setting up a 32'' plywood Finch Wild thing p-mono powered by a TP 40MM DIA X83MM long 2220 kv 3y motor turning a x440/3 prop esc is a Swordfish 200 + 2- 14.8v 5000 mah 45c lipos wired in paralell reciever is Spektrum mr -200 marine rx with 1 ant vertical in tube the second mounted under the deck tx is a Spektrum DX3S . The issue im having once i accelarate the boat runs for about 5 seconds then cuts out after abot 2 seconds will start up again this will repeat 2 or 3 times with the previous mentioned time intervals and will run no problem after the third time it cuts out motor esc and batt temp under 100 degrees after a 2 minute run speed on gps is 39 mph . I checked all the Castle 5.5mm bullet plugs on the wiring harness for snug fit. Where else could i be looking to solve this problem ? Regards Andris Golts.

Did you check LVC settings on your esc.

Other than the fact that it eventually runs, it sounds like a LVC issue. Do you know what yours is set at?

have to start somewhere though. I'd range test out of water with a buddy before putting it back in the drink though.

That was my next guess.....a glitchy receiver.

Very interesting: I am tagging along .
I have the same symptom with my MHZ Lizard Xtreme. Set up is 4s2p, ( fairly new Dinogy 5000 Mah, 65C 4s) , Leopard 4082 /2000kv, Seaking 180, M445 and M545, Rx is Spektrum MR200 ( antenna set up per instruction).
This run was in April and surprised me because the maiden was two years ago and suffered a total stoppage in the middle of the lake. That time I could not pin point the problem, I blamed on a lesser brand of battery. But I never knew if it was thermal or LVC because by the time I retrieved the boat, everything was working and I opened the hatched but there was no point to check the temp, it had been sitting in the water for 15 minutes.
Then I suspect may be something to do with the receiver, the ESC has never been abused and worked in another boat. Having said that, I use MR3000 and MR200 all the time am I am happy with them, so if you can find out anything further, I will be grateful.
Too many boats, not enough time...

Total mistake, sorry Andris. You still have the FC 4092 2200kv motor?

This is not addressed to me?
Dang, I could swear I bought new from OSE, oh well, too many motor, too many boats, don't remember a thing, I am happy with the motor tho!
Mine is a "D", set to 3.75 on Seaking 180, do I need to set at 0?

Sorry, it was adressed to Andris but, now that I look at the post he says it's a 40x83 2220kv, Mia Culpa, ooops, I'll just shut up now. I did sell him a 4092 FC 2200 5D though....

3.75 is max I'd do on a D wind with that esc. Zero will use less amps.

I was having some similar issues on Sunday. I changes tx batts and solved the problem with one boat. Other unsolvables were a nanotech batt doesn't deliver anymore and T-180 died!
