    Outboard Cable Lube

What's everyone using for their outboard cable lube? Have an OS lower with Hyperformance cables. When I ran nitro we used to use STP... That's a lil thick, I think....

I have a brasss tube in my OS lower and I do it two ways:
When I lube " on the go" thru the oil fittings I use STP mixed with Mobil 1 ( 10W-30) 50:50 OR Lucas Gun oil mixed with Sta-Lube 85-140 Limited slip Heavy Duty -Hypoid Gear oil ( 50:50).
At the end of the day, I always take the motor down from the adaptor and pull the Hyperperformance cable out. I totally disassemble the leg so I have the brass tube out. I do leave the prop shaft in but I spray either WD-40 or CorrosionX into the bushing. I then use Grim Racer blue grease with a few drops of Sta-Lube 85-140 Limited Slip "Heavy Duty-Hypoid Gear Oil" to thin out a bit. I use an oiler with a needle to have pinpoint accuracy and convenience.
      Sorry for the long rant!
      Cheers!

I've been using Corrosion X Speed X in my oilers for a few years and it seems to work pretty well, keeps them looking like new. But I still grease them after a weekend.
