After Run info for a newbie

Finally getting ready to run for the first time. What does everyone recommend for the bearing lubrication and what do you do for your after run maintenance procedures?

if by "bearing" you mean the motor bearings, nothing. if you run in saltwater you'll want to flush out your system, but other than greasing the flexshaft i don't do anything. just me though, and i run trouble free "KNOCK ON WOOD"
There's a hole at the center of earth where the rest of the world sinks but i stand still...

Yes I agree with Luck. Lube flex shaft and I do run in saltwater. So I made this with some stuff from Home Depot to flush system after each run. Good luck. Jeff

Luck - yes I was referring to the motor bearings. I run in fresh water, when running the gas boats we flushed the cooling system with WD40. Any need to spray anything down with WD? Should I spray my outboard with Corrosion X after I run it?

I'm a little meticulous about my post run maintenance, I pull the shaft and dry it then blow compressed air through the stuffing tube to remove moisture. If water entered the hull, which it usually does...at least a little bit.... I dry and blow/dry out the hull with compressed air. I also blow compressed air through the cooling tubes and systems to clear the water. I do not reinstall the flex shaft into the stuffing tube until I'm ready to run the next time. I leave the hatch off so it can air dry. If it was real wet inside the hull, I blow out the motor with air and then treat it with Corrosion-X. A drop of oil on the bearings and I'm done!
I've had very reliable boats that are turn-key this way.

Thanks Swanny - that's probably how I will treat my boats, too. What oil do you use on your bearings? I had asked Tony (Propper Chopper) and he mentioned BOCA Bearing's oil. Would probably go with his recommendation, just wondering what others do.

When I grease my shaft I also put a few drops on to loosen things up a bit :)
