    30" Custom Cat

    Hey there everyone,

Been working on this setup at the shop for some time. I am planning on production and selling of this setup in the near future as the first custom RTR from the Skunk Works shop. Prototype completed with all the goodies I have sourced.

    Here are the stats:

    30" stepped cat hull, fiberglass
11xl 2100kv motor with water jacket.
100 amp water cooled esc, modeled after the old hacker navy 77
full speedmaster hardware, strut and rudder..went with the longer stand off for the rudder.
    42 mm carbon prop
all the build products of course purchased through OSE! Thanks Steve!

Did run it today. 12 IB3600s and it ran respectively about mid 30s. Did take video, did not come out well, I will try again tomorrow.....from a different angle.

Check out the pics of the prototype build.

    Thanks

    Scott

Scott, that motor Kv has to be wrong, a Feigao 11XL has a Kv of 1516. Typo?

Regardless, that is a nice-looking build. Good luck, you 'should' sell a bunch. :)

yes,i bought the one on here.
                      boat is pretty nice.
the only thing i think needs fixing is the tunnel is a little soft.
i was wonna ask you where you get your CF from.
still playing with it only ran it once.
it really flys compaired to the sv.

Thanks for the post Mike, appreciate it! Be interesting to see results from a 45mm prop.

I am working on two other builds for customers now. Boat is proving itself to be a solid, strong performer. I am glad with the results so far and look forward to building more out of shop.

I use ebay, actually am an ebay fanatic. Ebay is very good marketing for the cost. But I am thinking of turning into a distributor only for the hull. The shop is evolving more into full builds and custom paint.

I have good feedback on the hull to continually improve its design and construction.

ran it today w/the 45mm and it flys:D
the pond is too small to let it hang out
added battery trays to support the weight of the 8cell packs and to be able to move CG around.
once again very happy with it.
