    powering a DF 45 sniper mono ?

I have a caslte HV200, neu 1527 1.5y/825kv on 12s 6600mah. was wondering if it would be enough to power a DF 45 sniper mono to 55mph as a sport set up.

Not IMO. small motor and not enough ESC. most guys I know run a 22 motor and a bigger ESC. Sport. Racing or saw? Sport or racing not enough battery. Capacity.

i could go up to 9900mah.

what i am trying to do is to build a boat with my current electronics to be able to run with the gas boats. there max speed is 60

Too many boats, not enough time...

Or. I run a Lehner 3060/7 on 8S with a 455/3. 63 mph all day but it pulls 250 amps. (Swordfish 300) 8400mah total. Runs Hot. You have to run with the Nose planted in a gas race. That water gets very chopped up. Run to light. (yes less amps) you will never finish.

Just get a castle 2028. Big, simple, efficient.

10s2p you're gunna want 10,000mah. A 2028 can be had for 240$ now and is probably the most economical choice for that boat without sacrificing performance. Kevin Pratt is a member of our forum here with the setup looks good to me.

That setup could get you there, depending on the weight of the hull, it is definitely not the best choice, a 2028 would be much better. I run that motor on 10S in a 19lb 1/8th scale hydro thats almost 60mph and can easily make a heat race with 5000's. The mono will use more power especially in the turns. I think the problem is that with that motor on 12S you will have to use a pretty small prop on that big hull.

Thanks for the info, I think I may look at the 41" hull to build then.

Are you racing the gas guys or just "running with them"?
