I can not even imagine what parts your getting that would add up to $705.

        Hi Focused
That's a wonderfull boat you got, and as I can see it also runs great in your video. How is the run times with the setup you got, and which brand of lipo's do you use?
You also run the Seaking 180A on separate Bec as recommended in other forums, did you have any issues/problem with the electrics in you boat?. It looks like you reinforced the hull ? Is this the first boat you build ?

          Hi ,

          Thank you for the compliment.

Yes the hull and hatch are reinforced with carbon/kevlar, 8mm plywood in the transom also covered with carbon/kevlar .
Runtime is about 7min. depends a bit on the driving but i never ran them empty so i really do not know the exact runtime also never had any issue with electronics .

          Lipos i used are 2 zippy/flightmax 5s 5000mah 40c in a 5s2 setup for goed runtime

Its not my first boat i built i have no idea how i did but its a lot i think.

Thats a really nice lizard, where did you get the windshield decal?

Anyway for the original poster, the zippy 5s 5000mah 40c packs are just awesome for the money, hold voltage great under load. The WD200 hardware is great, another company I have dealt with is

They make very nice hardware as well. I would probably copy focused's setup as it seems quite good!

Here is the coreldraw cdr file http://www.xs4all.nl/~focused/lizardwindow.cdr .

                Ok! Zippy/flightmax 5s1 5000mah 40c for 40 euro.
The last 2 weeks I have been reading page after page in the internet about the good and the bad lipo's and here we are flying around the lake in a beautifull Mhz Lizard with 40 euro lipo...that rocks
I almost made my mind up buying lipo's from Gens ace for 120,- Euro for the 6s 5300mAh. Ok the zippy it's not a top brand but if they can last 50 times/cycles on the lake it's fine with me for 40,- euro a piece.

Why did you reinforced with carbon/kevlar, would you do this again?

And why did you choose the Tp motor and not the Leopard 4082 ?

I always reinforce my boats i like it when they are a bit stronger then original and yes i would do it again .
The TP motor is a 6 pole motor its stronger then a 4 pole leopard also the TP is much better build then the Leo internally.

Here in the Netherlands we choose Zippy over many other brand lipo we find them good enough for our use if not abused.

I use them even in my Drambuie on ice with a 2x 10s setup (4x 5s) with also TPmotors.

                    I only find the Tp Motor 4050/4y 1800kv as a 4 pole, not a 6 pole ?

On the pictures there are a line on the hull, did you take the hull apart to reinforce it?

You are right the 4050 is 4 pole the big brother 56 serie is 6 pole i`m sorry but its stil better then the leo .

The line is where they glued the hull together i did not take the hull apart for laminating .
