    New to RC Boats

Hi I'm new to rc boats but have been into rc trucks for awhile now. I have two boats now a 17" Miss Geico and 24" Miss Geico, I know Proboat discontinued the 24" boat but why does it seem so unpopular?

Not sure but I wish more people would build hulls around 24 inches

Maybe they will come out with something better. Darin Jordan did give a hint that there were some new things coming.

I guess it's hard for people to drop $200 on a plastic boat with a brushed motor. You can get a deal on ebay from $96- $110 from a guy clearing them out. Most people like Fiberglass in anything bigger than 20" long possibly??

It's a nice boat and if I had some spare $$ I'd get one and do an offset rudder and go brushless.

            Welcome to OSE
like everyone else who knows why they discontinued the 24 inch bugs personally I thinkthey're a hoot. The only boat I have under 30" is my 19" 2s rigger. Even my Villain IV is 30".

Make sure you read & study everything on the site & ask lots of questions.. The same things that make land vehicles faster ie: faster motor + more power doesn't really apply here unless you want to roast marshmallows....
