does anyone know how to set up a swordfish 220a esc plus it seems to shut off at a certain load? i dont know if im doing something wrong or i need to hook it to the laptop.

Depending on what you set for lipo cut off voltage that might be a problem. What type of cells are you running and in what boat with what prop.
Sometimes if you have it set to factory defaults (2S lipo and 3V/cell) it can cut off early.
If batteries are not good High C rated packs and it's pulling a lot of current, voltage sag low enough that it hits LVC.

i have an ml boatworks px335 tunnel. im running a leopard 4082 200kv on an os lower unit. my batterys are turnigy nanotech 4s 5000 mah 45 to 90 c. and im running an octura x447. over the weekend i ordered the usb link for the swordfish esc
