Can a 25in long LSH/Spec hydro be competitive now days

For Club racing can a 25 to 26 inch spec hydro be competitive now day's? I know the brushless motors are adding a lot of power and was wondering if smaller hulls can indeed be setup to be competitive at the club level. The type of boat i am talking about ran 700 motors and sub c batteries not too long ago.

It is very difficult for that size boat to be competitive with the 30" Whips, Insanes and Phil Thomas boats.

A whip is just not gonna happen for me. At best I am a part time racer on a minuscule budget. Looking at a Vacupickle that I can get cheap right now

Yes good wit building it just takes me a long time to build one now that is why I wanted to buy a completed boat. Still my buy one I found a great deal on a RTR Vac-u-pickle
